Good quality but too large

It's good quality fabric, very thick, but had to return it due to sizing issues. I ordered a size 1 but it fits like its 2 sizes too big. Other than that it is a good item.

Durable, Well Made, Single Weave Fuji Gi with Almost No Advertizing On It!

I have had the same experiences of this Fuji black Judo gi as I have had with the two white versions of the same gi that I bought previously - these are durable, comfortable single weave gis, and I would (and do) recommend them to everybody. The only down side to buying this black version of the gi is that I bought the white versions at a reduced price here on Hatashita (for under half the full price), and the white versions appear to be reduced or on sale fairly regularly, but that has not been the case for this black gi.Still, at CDN $105 (after tax and shipping) for a Size 5, I still feel that this is a very good value. These gis will last for years, and I could not be happier. The pants are a little long, and will therefore need to be taken up, but the pants and the jacket itself are extremely tough, and are very comfortable for me to train in (it's the judo that is the painful part).I highly recommend this product, and I have also had very pleasant and helpful telephone and email communications with Hatashita regarding another product which I am interested in buying from them.Unlike other, taller reviewers, who found the size 5 to be a little big, I find that a size 5 fits me well - my Judo instructor thought that a size 4 would have been too narrow across the shoulders. (I am 5' 7', about 180 lbs).Because of the length, I am going to order size 4 or 4 1/2 pants because, even though I had the pant legs taken up, the crotch hangs sufficiently low that the cotton does not ride up smoothly if I suddenly raise my knee/legs; consequently, I think a smaller size will be better in this respect.I gradually increased the time that I put the gi in the dryer each time I did my laundry, and now I can leave it in until it is fully dry, which takes almost an hour in the dryer. The gi shrunk by about half an inch, or less, but I do not think that the pants really shrunk at all. However, the belt shrunk by about 5 inches, which surprised me, and I am going to order a size 6 bel...
